- Introduction
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the provision of an electric vehicle (EV) charger installation services (“Services”) by EVC Electrical Installations Ltd (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) to our clients (“Client,” “you,” or “your”). By accepting our quotation or placing an order, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms. - Scope of Services
- The Company will install an EV charger at the location specified by the Client based on the agreed-upon specifications and timeline provided in the quotation or project.
- Installation Services include all labour, materials, and testing required to complete the installation of the EV charger, unless otherwise specified in the quotation.
- Pricing and Payment Terms
- Cost: The total cost of the Services will be detailed in the quotation or invoice provided to the client.
- Deposit: We don’t take a deposit unless otherwise stated and requested in special cases.
- Final Payment: The total balance is due upon completion of the installation, unless otherwise agreed in advance of installation.
- Cancellations and Refunds
- Cancellation by Client: If the Client chooses to cancel the installation after the quote has been accepted, installation date arranged and deposit paid (if applicable).
- Cancellation within 7 days of booking: Full refund of deposit (if deposit paid).
- Cancellation between 5 and 3 days before the scheduled installation date: Refund of 50% of the deposit (if paid) to cover administrative and preparation.
- Cancellation within 3 days of the scheduled installation date: The deposit (if paid) will be non-refundable.
- Cancellation by Company: We reserve the right to cancel the installation due to unforeseen circumstances, such as safety concerns, issues with site accessibility, or other factors beyond our control. In such cases, the Client will receive a full refund of the deposit.
- Rescheduling: If the Client wishes to reschedule the installation, requests must be made in writing at least 7 days before the original installation. Rescheduling may be subject to availability and additional charges if costs have been incurred.
- Site Preparation
- The Client is responsible for ensuring that the site is prepared for installation, including arranging access, clearing obstructions, and obtaining any necessary permits.
- Additional Costs: If site conditions differ from those initially provided or if additional work is required, the Company reserves the right to charge for additional labour and/or equipment.
- Warranties and Liability
- Installation Warranty: The Company provides a 2-year warranty on installation services including materials used from the completion date. This warranty covers installation defects but excludes damage caused by misuse, neglect, or unauthorised use.
- Limitation of Liability: The Company will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the installation of the EV charger, including, but not limited to, loss of income or business.
- Force Majeure: The Company will not be liable for delays or failure to perform due to circumstances beyond our control, such as extreme weather, natural disasters, or supply chain disruptions.
- Customer Responsibilities
- The Client agrees to provide accurate information about the installation site and agree to our requirements for site.
- Compliance with Laws: The Client is responsible for ensuring compliance with all local regulations and obtaining necessary approvals or.
- Dispute Resolution
- Negotiation: In the event of a dispute, both parties agree to attempt resolution through informal negotiation before seeking legal advice.
- Governing Law: These Terms will be governed by the laws of the United Kingdom.
- Amendments
The Company reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updated Terms can be provided to the Client prior to the commencement of Services. - OZEV(Office for Zero Emission Vehicles) grant applications. For OZEV (Office for Zero Emission Vehicles) grant applications, it is the customer’s responsibility to ensure all qualifying criteria are met, provide accurate documentation, and follow through on necessary steps to complete the claim. The installation company usually assists by submitting the application, but any discrepancies in eligibility or incomplete information can lead to grant denial. If the grant is denied or not processed, the customer is liable to cover the full installation cost, including the portion that would have been subsidised by the grant.
